I would say it will be marginal. Sorry to give you the bad news. In my opinion, to get good performance (good, not FAI) with the gas 26 you will need a plane that weighs 10.0 lbs. or less. To build a 2meter plane with a 26 gasser that light will be very, very difficult. There is room however in the nose for the engine. Some time ago I did a sketch of a zdz 40 in the nose...see image.

On a good note, my very first Insight is now living out its golden years as a sport flyer with a zenoah 26cc and the owner is very happy. He asked me to fly it and I was able to do the AMA sportsman sequence (AMA 401), but not much more.
