Default RE: DZY Engines

Hi I have one of these dzy48's, looks nice and run well on the stand. fired right up after priming and 3 flips. only gripe I have is the mounting lugs are weak, I broke one when it dropped on my lawn from 22inchs of my bench. otherwise after 3/4 gallon it spins a 20x8 bolly prop at 6950. I am making a 1/4 inch plate to bolt on the back of the motor casing using new longer bolts. the bolts on the motor look cheap and nasty so will also replace them. looks to be a good little motor otherwise
If the case was machined billet like Andrew Coholic stated in his December 2007 Fly RC review you wouldn't have this problem. Either he got a engineering sample or he can't tell the difference between cast and billet.

When you think about it, why would any manufacturer bead blast a machined billet case?
