IMO the Ace/Associated/Thunder Tiger DS1015's are the best value out there. I have two that are about 3 years old and have seen many a race in my AD2. I also have 2 Airtronics/Sanwa 94359's as steering servo's in my LST2 that are about 3-4 years old. They were my first upgrade when I purchased the OG LST back in 2004. My buggy also has two 94359's, one is around 3-4 years old and the other just a year or so (one died in a race but I believe I had the endpoints off and toasted the motor). My XXX-T CR has the DS1015 for steering, but its only seen half a dozen races, and all of them were this winter.
However, if you have steering, then it quits after a couple of minutes, I would suspect something in the battery or (less likely) the rx.
Negative blanket statements about any company rarely do anyone any good. My first two Dell Laptops were huge lemons and I got a major run around both times trying to get things right. And this was in the 90's when Dell was Numero Uno in both customer service satisfaction and product reputation. I typically discount whatever is said by someone who makes claims like all of brand x is crap, unless the sentiment is also coming from the majority of the community. Caveat Emptor.
True that.
got one in my mgt that thing is a beast.
