if your screwing in the idle all the way in order to keep the engine running , ther is two screws facing you and one screw for the idle , then there is two little screws , the little screw on the right sounds like it screwed in too much and the little screw on the left is screwed way out , you need to almost get these two little screws turned in at about the same amount to have a right balance , the idle should never need to be screwd in all the way , then if all else fails you need to check your radio fine tune settings and then take off the filter and see how much of an opening there is in the carby flap, the return spring for the carby should close automatically and there should almost be no gap for the carb flap when the engine is running and car standing still except for when you give it throttle of course .
