Hi Guy's, I have up until now, never clear coated over latex. My reasons for starting this thread was to find out what the rest of you do. My biggest problem with latex is that as 4star mentioned, it takes about 30 days to fully cure. I'm not that patient and sometimes when I'm doing markings and mask areas off, I get the paint coming off with the masking tape after I spray. Then, I have to mask the marking that was just painted and touch up the base coat again...what a hassle! I know that basically this problem is just my impatiens, and that is what got me to thinking about clear coating. But now I'm wondering that if I clear coat over a not fully cured latex, will it ever cure properly?
Hmmmm...maybe sometimes I think too much about this stuff???
