Reading your posts about problems with gas on latex is exactly what prompted me to do this test! I too have read the posts of others who claim not to have an issue, but your story gave me concern. My tests seem to back up your claim. I don't think the others were "lying or misleading" us... just had better luck. I don't want to take any chances, hence a test was in order. Maybe we don't wipe down our planes with a gas-soaked rag, but there are spills, leaks, and in many cases, a venturi issue with your carb can cause some gas to blow out of the carb and streak back from the firewall... again, better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the tip on clear and artist chalk! Never thought of that, but it makes sense to me.
