Ken, they are referring to the elevator and aileron components of elevon throw. They understand that a Roo has only elevons, but it's movements can be broken down into a component that is aileron movement and a component that is elevator movement. When referring here to elevator, they are refferring to the elevon's movement when the elevator stick is moved. Hope that helps.
