The CDI is manufactured by their parent company that makes other ignitions.

What is the name of their parent Company?

Can this CDI handle 6V and above?
Not sure about the parent company in China at this time.
However, they started out as a electrical component manufacture.
I will check out the all associated sidelines for you.

We suggest that you use either a 7.4vdc Li-Po or Li-On pack with a 6vdc regulator.
or
Use a Nimh/Nicd pack that is less than 6.7vdc or below at fully charged.
It will operate a 4.8vdc @ 2100mah for 4-5 flights with no prob.
The manufacture wants to advertise 6vdc for all day long flying.
240-250mah at idle and
350mah at full throttle.
Hope this info helps answer your question.

Thanks,
Thank you too. I appreciate your in-depth explanation.
