The later Torro (still WSN.... but yeah, the "VS" series) use very thin plastic, much less rigid than even the original WSN T-34. If you have seen the pics of the broken WSN Tiger I have put up, they are made from VERY thin plastic, and whilst their tracks are closed-pin they are made from a very brittle and easy-wearing material, again much less durable than HL stock plastic tracks.
