i think carb cleaner might be a little harsh on it. but you probably could use is 90 % rubbing alcohol to break up the residue from the old nitro fuel. just pour it in and shake it around real good, then pour it out and do it one more time to get out the rest of the old stuff. after that i'd slosh some fresh fuel in it and pour that out dry it real good and you should be good to go.
