Here is a picture of the Z P-51 wings. You may have to save the pictures and open it in a view you can zoom in on. I haven't been able to improve the resolution sorry.

You can see the balance weight 'bobs' on the bottom of the ailerons. I'd definitely put the scale one on the P-38 elevator. You probably will have to enlarge them some to get enough weight.
