I am making a plane from scratch, and I am about to make the landing gear blocks that are mounted in the forward part of the wing, my question is; can I make these out of pine, or should they be a harder wood, like maple or birch ,etc.., its a .60 size plane, so I imagine there will be some hard landings, would pine be strong enough?...
