It's worth noting that if all frequencies on the 2.4 GHz band are full (ridiculously unlikely) then the transmitter simply won't bind. Don't listen to the people who say you can be bounced off while flying - it won't happen. If I started the hobby today, I would have a 2.4 GHz transmitter.
