ORIGINAL: speed959

i am looking at this stuff for my future truck (traxxas slash) [link=http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6452]battery[/link], [link=http://www.boomboombatteries.com/product_p/apach_2500.htm]charger[/link], [link=http://www.b-p-p.com/proddetail.php?prod=da_TB36]speed control[/link] and i don't know what motor, anyway are these things good
That speed control is designed for planes and doesn't have reverse. It says reversable, but that just means that it can be set up to spin in the opposite direction (I know, I have that speed control in one of my planes). It doesn't technically have reverse. It is also a little low on amperage for a car. I would guess that most motors you would look at would require more amperage than that.
