Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Thanks for the encouragement, Waldo and others. The guy with the Super Decathlon certainly has money to burn, no doubt. And he has crashed others that were even bigger! As for me, at times I can make the Tango look a lot like a trainer when it's in the air, even getting it off the ground as long as I'm facing the wind. So far, I have learned to recover during takeoff when all heck breaks loose in a cross wind, I guess I don't think I just react, sort of a reflex. Man, I hate it when that happens, it's almost as fast as a blink!

I ended up with a hard landing today, was too far up when I flared. Well, it came down hard enough on the soft grass where it hit the prop. Bent the gear slightly, but man it's a tough bird, nothing else out of the ordinary. The prop is just fine. I didn't even notice the gear until a couple flights later. Want something with a strong gear? Just add a Tango (or is it a high-wing T-_-t?) to the herd...

I had the idle set too low on the 55 AX, which resulted in a couple dead sticks got that fixed. I got to thinking that I could put my Tango up on a high-start and go looking for thermals with the Spirits and Spectras!
