I was reading a long thread on the 1.60 and it seems that with the pitts style muffler the pump assures good fuel delivery and allows you to really turn in the needle valve and it seems to give a more fuel efficient, reliable run from idle to full throttle. Here is a copy of the thread.

The plane is very good so far but the hardware is not as good as the EF Yak. The spats and cowl on the Magic hand are better than the EF. Build quality is about equal other than the above.
