I'm just running it with the stock motor. I didn't want to risk putting my brushless in it especially after I read your posts. It's a little underpowered on carpet for my liking but works great on concrete and asphalt. That sucks yours ended up in the landfill. I'm sure there are others with the same experience. Unfortunately, its usually the early adopters of new products that get shafted. They report all the kinks, the kinks get fixed in new revisions but then early adopters don't get anything in return for helping make the product better.

I ordered about 60 bearings thinking I would have to replace bearings in the hubs (plus I ordered extra for other people) but it turns out we didn't need all the bearings at all.
