Try to make the image smaller, and/or use a different format. Using Jpeg (.jpg file) format allows you to compress the image without loosing much detail.

Now, if you mean a .dxf file all bets are off. There is no way to compress it more than what a .zip file can. Make sure you use Maximum compression when "zipping" the file.
