You don't have to split the frame to cut it. I just did the belt driven tail conversion yesterday. If you take out the shaft and main gear and the left servo you can get to it with a small dremel blade and a hack saw blade. What adifference this conversion makes, the tail is rock solid, but with the 3 in 1 board the tail servo dies on my heli as the board heats up, all of the pots (nobs) on it are turned all the way off but the main ic gets extremely hot and the servo tritches alot. That is my only problem, the bdt does give more left heli drift wich needs to be trimed alittle.
