Default RE: Bowman ring question...yes another question...

If ya see my post about the 22cc echo twin you see i got new rings from frank.Instaed of me trying to go through echo i sent him the cylinders and he fitted the rings to my cylinders for a custom fit.It would be like buying a new set of rings and putting them in a used cylinder. They wont fit right.Thats why when you buy parts for good engines you buy a repower kit wich includes a jug, rings, piston, wrist pin, circlips, somtimes a new wrist pin bearing. With franks rings i was able to get a custom fit ring without all the extras at a very reasonable price of like $7-9.oo a piece. If echo even had the rings in stock or at all.The other rings i have purchased where much closer in the end ring gap.Meaning when you put the ring in cylinder you only have .001-.003.Some you can see the gap with your eyes.Maybe 5-7 thousandths. He will also pin your piston and make a ring if ya want him to.This is the ultimate seal. And this mod will raise your compression alone.
