RE: 1/3 Scale SE5a Scratch Build
Pardon my "are we there yet?" questions. I may not be interpreting your photos correctly. I understand that the underlying jig is raised just enough to accomodate the projection of the cap strips from each side of the rib (overlap, i.e. a 1/8" capstrip on a 1/16" rib = 1/32' projection on each side, in which case the jig would be a 1/32" thick rib shape and at the spar locations thick enough to stand the vertical capstrips against, in this case 1/8"). Do you cover the raised jig and the surrounding lower surface it is mounted on with the same sheet of wax paper, anf if so how do you manage to get the capstrip to position hard against the edge of the rib (gapless)? Hope I haven't made this hopelessly complicated................John
