Default Engine problems

Hi guys,

I'm tearing out what little hair i have (and i shave my head!!) Had a little problem with Raptor 30 few days ago. Engine cut out about 20ft.......managed to autorotate it down to about 3 feet and gravity helped with the rest......ahem.

Only broke a blade grip and a bouble ball link, and split one of the wooden blades, so walked away pretty good, i thought.....

Just bought a new blade grip and ball link and a set of carbon blades. Now the problem is when i run up the engine sitting on the ground, the head speed max's out just over 1/3 throttle setting as it goes through 0 degrees pitch and as i increase the stick setting it gets to the point where it's just about to lift off and then the engine abrubtly cuts and unless i bottom the throttle dies completely.

Alternatively if i just nail the throttle and go straight into a take off as i bring the throttle/pitch back down it abrubtly cuts again (at about 2ft off the ground............only did that one once)

I am fresh out of ideas on this one. It is just under half throttle setting that the engine drops abrubtly, no matter whether the engine is rich or lean. The head speed appears to be much higher than with the wooden blades, is this somehow bogging the engine down and stalling it when the pitch is increased?? Starting to have a sense of humour failure with it all

Cheers

Gareth.
