Can anyone really clarify why a $120.00 engine with a gasoline carb new head and pistone is going for almost $400.00 I mean does that sound hight to anyone or is it just me ?
I don't mean to belittle the braintrust, technology and tooling costs, bust I've heard that these engines don't run that well, so with a track record like that, one would think the price would go waaaaay down until all the bugs were worked out and mass produce them to sell at a lower rate to ameritize their own costs and in turn get more $$ in the long run.
I want one, but there's no way I'll but one at that price.
Just a thought from the peanut gallery~[8D]
NoFlaps, Have you scene one of these run in person? I guess not. First off these engines are and have sold so fast it is next to impossible to keep them in stock. We will have someone building them full time. There are several modifications internal and external that have to be done so the engine will run and last. The crank shaft, crank case, and connecting rod are all re-worked. Add a gas carb and a special adaptor to connect the carb. And no makes an ignition that will work with the engine. They all have to have new plug wires and caps. They have a two year warranty on them and the ignition is warrantied threw the company that makes them. Al that for $369. Heck the price has never gone up since the engine was new. Still $369 plus shipping. Andy
