Default RE: 140+ mph H9 Sundowner 50 Arf

Hi all,

I have a sundowner 50 and want to put the OS 46 from my twist in it. I have a macs pipe (the black one) on the 46. was hoping to be able to mount the engine on its side and have the pipe run thru the firewall and exit the side under the wing.. the pipe doesnt quite fit in there as hoped. It looks like I would have to cut out some of the firewall and possibly modify the gear mount box some. I dont want to add weight to this unnecessarily. This motor is only to get my feet wet with the plane and see if I like the way it flies etc etc. then go with the jett60 or similar. any thoughts on how to make it work with the 46.. I looked at mounting the engine inverted and have the pipe come out the cowl on the left side but wanted to keep a clean look to the plane. might not be possible with this combo though. any thoughts would be appreciated, pictures of your similar setup even better..

thanks,

david
