i had this problem aswell after i set it up to return the throttle to off at overheat i replaced the hump pack and it went back to original settings and instead of closing the throttle at overheat it opened it up fully and obviously it wasnt getting any colder so the throttle just stayed wide i had to avoid about 20 trees as i was in the middle of the woods and stand on the car till i pulled the fuel line off which was actually pretty funny when i didnt total my truck but anyway thats probably your problem if you remove your batteries you have to set up the smart temp every time hope this helps
