More information please regarding the elevator problem.
Are you saying that the elevator surface or the elevator shaft bent?
Are the bubbles paint blisters or something deeper that might affect strength?

Do the replacement ones address this issue?

I wasn't going to get the new ones, maybe I should reconsider.
