hey, i build an Electric Airboat simaler to yours, with an Brushless engien and a 8by6 prop running on 4 Lipo Celles (14.8V)
my Airboat runs fine on land, but it has problems getting started, i think the problem lies here

my engine is an 1050Rpm/V at 14.8V it runns aprox. 15000Rpm
most nitro engiens runn 20000 - 30000 Rpm

so thay will ha some more pull....
i am workin on modifying an 4050Rpm/V engine with an gear so it purs out aboudt 1500-1800 rpm/V
