I got a little complacent today. First time that I have tried to launch my Funjet by myself and I made the mistake of running half throttle on left hand release from the bungee. I should have release from the bungee with no throttle and opened it up after release.

The APCe prop put 6 nice scalpel like cuts in the side of my hand and I was dripping red coolant in a matter of seconds. I was by myself at the time but fortunatley one of my fellow club members arrived literally 2 minutes later and patched me up with a first aid kit.

I'm normally very careful. Flying 12S powered models swinging a 20" prop I know one false move could hack off a limb so I always keep my finger firmly on the throttle stick. Easy to forget that even small models can cause a lot of damage. Another lesson learnt for me.

Important to enjoy flying but more important to fly safe my friends.
