I just used landing gears from a .40GPextra300. I have extra of those laying around.
It raised it plus it's beefier too.

Yeap chuck the stock tail wheel and extend the rudder
Lower the diehedral after you clip the wings of course.

If you wanna knock off some wieght . If you have a drimel, you can set a depth thing and just router the airleron from the bottom.
Or just use sticks to build wider airlerons
Or cut those thick airleron peices into sticks.

You might wanna re enforce behind the rear wing former...It's a floater, but still.

I just trim the canopy lower to make it look slicker

I think i'm going to sheet the entire front of the wing the next time...you don't need it.
i just had a bad habit of picking up the wing at the front sub spar..I keep crushing them
