Hey guys,
I'm back, feeling a bit better after half of my chemo treatments 6 of 12 every 2 weeks, so i decided to pick up the sticks.
I feel bad, but I butchered my Blade CP and now I'm running full tilt on the TRex450SA (yes I've abandoned my blade, sorry. She was a good bird but on to bigger and better) Butchered meaning I took out recv, servos, and decided I was done withit, no crashes

Well 1 but it was just the spindle and Main gear.(fixed)
Funny thing is I decided to get a sailboat for those times when I don't want to worry about the $200 repair bill should I crash. You can crash a sailboat but it won't cost near that to fix
For those interested I bought a Aquacraft Paradise 26" Blue, awaiting the arrival now.
I still fly my Blade CX when I just want to practice orientation it's still a PERFECT investment for someone ready to learn how to fly. You get the quick movements of the right stick tail control, throttle and of course it's better to work on orientation with a dual rotor than with an expensive single. I haven't abandoned E-Flite yet. These thing take a real beating and it's better than a sim.
For those still using the Blade CP this is definitely a good copter, I TOTALLY recommend a heading hold gyro. Now that I've seen what the Trex can do with a Gy401 I won't go back to tail maneuvering as a full time job. OMG it's night and day guys.
I talked to my lhs about the 400 and I'm looking at getting a ARF and adding the same components I have in my 450SA, since I know they work well. It looks like the repair bill for the 400 will be way less than the trex, so again, I might be putting my nice chopper in the garage for a bit until I get stronger at flying.
All this and I sill can do no more than hover a pack or 2, THINK I GOT THE HELI BUG??????
