Left vs. right turns...
To correct the left drift induced by the thrust of the tail rotor, a little right stick is needed.
If you play with the trims to hold a non-drifting hover, have a look at the attitude of the bird and you will notice a distinctly "right skid down" appearance.
I wonder if that could have anything to do with the preference of right over left.
