Default RE: new hovercraft

Wow that's truly amazing how you just shape your hovercrafts out of balsa wood. I bet it is a very tedious job. You ask how does mine run? Well im satisfied with it because it does everything a hovercraft should do. I purchased a separate speed controller for the lift fan so both the thrust fan and the lift fan can be proportional. It flies nice. The lift fan fills the bag at less than 50% power, any thing more and the bag starts to viberate against the surface. The thrust motor came with the kit so decided to use that first to see what kind of power i got out of it and it works nice. The only problem i have is slowing down. When i get up speed on a smooth surface i have to let air out of the bag to slow down or else i will run into something. I guess that is just where i need to hone my skill. Other than that i pretty much fabricated the thrust fan shroud out of light ply and made a rudder for it where i have a servo attached to it in the rear of the craft. I dunno its okay but your models are just full of so much detail and has so many working parts. thats what i like about your models
