Default RE: Ralph Cunningham converted G-26 Problem

try to do the follwoing:

1. take the plug out
2. IGI to ON
3. hold the plug to the engine body
4. rotate the prop and see if theres a spark.
yes:

put back the plug and injest fuel manualy to the engine/carb and rotate - should start for a few seconds and die.

this mean that the elec system is OK ND YOUHAVE A FUEL/CARB PROBLEM

NO:

check the fuel line' look fo bubbles
check the tank, should be vented so the carb can suck the fuel up!!
check the crab neddle H & L - start with the original G26 setup by the manual and go from there....

elec troubleshooting:

batt charged - 4.8 with at least 1800Mha
see if the sensor - pickup- is conected correctly and the wire harness is OK all the way to IGI unit
see if the small magnet on the new hub for the sensor is still there...!! if not, than the sensor wont get the "feedback" it needs to generate the spark!!!

hope that i helpt in any way
thees are the basics checks that you need to do before you ship it for repair.

good luck
