RE: Upsizing a Warlock
Well, got the wing sanded and ready to go. I found a neat trick, too. The plans say to build the entire wing flat, cut it down the middle between the two center ribs and then sand in a bevel for dihedral. I figured the dihedral to be 3 degrees. Rather than do the sanding and hope to get it right, I found a bit of hard balsa and cut 1 and 1/2 degree bevels on each side of it using my tablesaw. Then I glued the two sides of the wing to it. Instant dihedral. Helps to have a really accurate saw and a sharp blade. Here's a picture of the wing. Have started on the tail feathers now. Hope to have those done tomorrow night...
I seem to be having trouble uploading an image. It says "there was an error saving the file to disk". Anyone know the trick?
