New style, the magneto and coil are separate. The magneto is in the back with a small flywheel. From the front it looks EI, until you get around to the back where you can see the mag and flywheel. I like the engine, but it sure is heavy for it's size. I thought about converting it to EI, but I'm going to wait and see if I need noseweight. If it balances OK, then there is no need in wasting 150 bucks on converting it. However, if it is very nose heavy, then I may have to.
I'm thinking about putting a bigger carb on there. Maybe even the Walbro WT813 with accelerator pump. Does anyone know anything about that combination? Will I gain anything from the 50 bucks? The stock carb has a small bore, so I think just getting a bigger carb might open up the power band a little????
