You can get by with the stock servo. I've been for some time now but am definately wanting something with more torque. I think it needs more holding power as a bumpy track feels as though it knocks the steering around a bit. Plus I notice the stock servo doesn't have enought power to help my truck get off the pipes when I get hung up. I feel like the steering servo should really be able to push the truck around more. I don't feel like I need to spend a ton of money on a servo though...at my rookie level of experience I don't feel like I need more speed, so I'm thinking the metal gear Hitec HS-645MG or Futaba S3305 at $32.00-$33.00 should be quite reasonable.
