RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!
Bugger, bugger, bugger......
All batteries charged and rarin' to go....wind picks up and prognosis is not good for the weekend.
Suffering from some serious withdrawal here.
HBK2 not arrived yet so not much to build there so I may be HO railbuilding for a wee while.
I'm a steam kinda guy with a preference toward articulated systems and I came on a nice deal of a pair of artics, one a tanker and the other a unit with tender comprising "modernly" manufactured components and good motors. The original issue came out in the late seventys but they've resurrected these models with better manufacturing techniques. So I have to build some trackage for them. I'd love to find a decent Beyer Garrett out there...there was one from an Italian manufacturer when I was but a mere lad. Pater was a mechanical guy, too so I come by it honestly. He built his own lathe from scraps and we built live steam locos to run on 4" gauge track.....at that time the only thing we had for making boilers to generate 60 psi steam were the shell casings from 3.5" anti aircraft guns and they were easy to get.
Oh....
There was a guy on the lake the other day with an electric Lippisch WIG about 36" wingspan that performed well.....ground effect is fun.
Must away...to fly in my dreams....
