RE: CG explained
Remember that the CG location you're trying to find is the STARTING location for your first flight. The suggested CG is really of no real importance after you've gotten the model safely into the air.
With your first flight, you decide your elevator throws. You figure out how the airplane reacts to the suggested elevator throw and you adjust that throw to fly the plane. You adjust it to make your stick less sensitive or more sensitive.
Then you decide if you want the airplane to be more agile or less twitchy. You move the CG to get that like you want it.
Step 1 is to set the CG for a safe maiden. No more no less.
Step 2 is the maiden and you might need to change the recommended throw.
Step 3 is from then on. You decide the best CG location by flying the sucker.
