one of the reasons it can be nice to get a HBFP (apart from being super tough and really simple and cheap to repair, but not the easiest to fly, or so "others" say ), not for your son to fly but maybe for you, he should use a coaxial, but the HBFP comes with a sim and it uses the HBFP Tx so it'll be really helpful for practicing, the sim it comes with is suppose to be really crappy, but pm me and I'll tell you a secret about that , but yes def spend a good amount of time on a sim, it'll really help you and your son. and save you alot of money in repairs and save time of not waiting for parts and repairs.
