the miracle switch (regulated switch) from MPI (6v version) plus a 2s lipo around 1000mah will easily save a couple of ounces. you have to use a regulator of some type w/a lipo. the rx doesn't want anymore than 6v, not 6.1 or 6.2v, ect. the 5cell nicad/nimh runs well over 6v when charged, not good for the rx. the miracle switch has a safety that if something goes wrong w/the switch, it just stays on, instead of loosing contact and connection.
