RE: CMP Zero Makeover
Ok, here are the pics of my servo wire jig. There is also a jpg of a line drawing of it that I started. I think that between the pics and the drawing, you should be able to figure it out. Use a 25 watt iron with a fine tip and keep the tip clean. A solder sucker is also useful but copper braided wick will work too, (to unsolder the old leads), it’s just a little more awkward is all. My average time to change the leads is about 7 minutes when using this jig. Take your time and use just enough heat to do the job. I’ve done 5 servos so far with 12” leads. The next set will have 24 – 36” leads or what ever is required to reach all the way to the receiver. Good Luck!
MC – Did you get your giant Stinger up yet? I’m anxious to hear how these servos worked for you! It’ll be another week or two until I can try mine out… too many projects and too little time!
