Starter on a new engine OMG my dad would kill me LOL....
i dont use starters unless the engine does not want to play from a flick start, 90% of my engines start on the first 2 flicks, from my experiance with other modelers that use starters all the time is that after the engine is used to being crancked with a starter u just carnt get em to fire on a flick start

not saying that is ya problem LOL but its just a rule i have (strange i know lol)
check your tank and fuel lines for bubles and so on, i had a engine like that that was leaking from the spray bar, 2 days i was playing with that damn thing intill i found there was more air in the fuel line than fuel
