Default RE: Sig Four Star 60

The Sig 4* is a great building and flying plane, with or with out all the mods here. I have 60 that is 7-8 years old and still one of my all time favorites. I had an earlier one with clipped wings and a 40 with extended rudder, etc, etc. I would have trouble noticing any of the mods. Sure it's everybodies own business what they do, but some have put an enormous amount of work into the 4* to make it look different, fly different, land different...just seems like a lot of work and no matter what you do, in the end it's still a 4* and flies like one. I had a student who after flying my 4* bought and built one, then in an attempt to change the flight charecteristics scratch built a brand new wing with a fully symetrical air foil and less dihedral. Guess what? It still flew just like a 4*. I say go wild with covering schemes, but don't bother trying to change the plane. If it sounds like a duck...

Just my $.02.
