Default Banged-up Saito 100...what to do?

Hi guys,

My Saito 100 was in an unfortunate crash that bent the pushrod assembly into the cylinder head. After looking on the Horizon Hobby website, I find no replacement parts for this model. Now I have a few questions:

1) I've never tore down a 4 stroke before, assuming the pushrods are the only thing screwed up, what do you think it would cost to ship it off for repair? Are we talking $50 or so, or more like $100?

2) If I could get pushrod parts, could a very mechanically inclined guy do the replacement? I'm damn good with my hands, and not afraid to try something new.

3) The crash went in hard, and although it looks like the pushrods were the only damage, is there a way to chek the crankshaft before I get the pushrods replaced?

Thanks for your time.
