I would leave the cowling off and lean the low needle an eighth of a turn at a time. It will run way better. The low RPM's will smooth out and the transition will be faster. Also high RPM's will increase as you lean the low needle. Leave the high needle at factory setting and only lean the low. Always worked great on my DA50.
