Default RE: My german lozenge technique ..and weathering

Vertical, I ended up printing out the weights wording, and that tag that goes below them on tracing paper, I let it dry real good ...then I sprayed clear on the plane, then on the back of the tracing paper, layed it right side up on the plane..cleared over that, then dobbed up the extra clear with a paper towel.. Its not perfect but it is acceptable to me, so thats what counts ! ha ha

As for the larger side info the ( FOK VII ) I actually cut a very nice stencil and airbrushed the wording on. unfortunately it got behind the stencil pretty bad and I had to do ALOT of hand painting to clean it up.. but after the airbrushing of weathering I am happy with it...

for anyone reading this BE SURE TO DO A TEST BEFORE TRYING THE CLEAR ON THE PRINTED TRACING PAPER ! my printer would only barely print on the stuff. And if I cleared it too soon it smeared and ran... After drying however believe it or not I could wipe as hard as I wanted and the wet clear wouldn't even tough the dried printer ink ? That shocked me quite frankly ! You can still see the paper some, its not a perfect method ..but it is a method.

I am adding this info at a later date..the temperature has made a huge swing today, the covering tightened some, leaving the tracing paper looking a little puckered ..so keep that in mind as well...
