Well, using different oils in conjunction with different spring rates will determine how much either given front or back end will rebound when u push down on truck, or lift the truck to a certain height, then just let it drop to see how much the springs/oil will make it rebound. This is the best way I can think of to describe it, but im sure someone else can clarify things even further....[8D]
hey dude you're thinking of the oil in the shocks, he's asking about oil in the differentials.

using heavier oil in the diffs will make it more of a 'posi-rear' or 'spool' rear where both tires will want to spin at the same time. lighter oil makes the differential action more noticable and less 'limited slip'. with lighter oil you'll get better cornering since one wheel will more easily spin faster or slower than the other around corners.

heavier diff oils will help with straight line acceleration and climbing, lighter oil will help with cornering.
