Well now it comes to moving the legs in the cowl. Grab and yank....
Unfortunatly it is not as easy as that, been at it all day yesterday, it is very difficult to see if it needs to go up, down, left, right etc
It might be easier to remount the starter with new mounting holes.
I mounted my own starter motors. What i did was to place the cowl on a flat table. Place masking tap where the legs of the motor contact the cowl. Then, using a square, eyeball the stater motor being square to the table from several directions. Now, mark the center of each leg on the masking tape. Measure the marks from table top. Average then out and remark this new location on the masking tape. Drill new holes at these locations. Done carefully, I found it get the starter darn near perfectly square to the impellor.
