like others have said... get a co-axial heli to start with. this will allow you both to learn orientation and get the basics of flight down before moving to a single rotor heli.. also get a sim.. real flight G4 is great but it's expensive. FMS is free... and looks and flies like crap. Clearview is a great sim.. and a lot cheaper than many others.
