Don, I think thats cool you dont let that bother you and you enjoy the sport from your chair. I would like to think I would do the same.

One thing I did is get a dog leash and loop it around the tail and put a stake in the ground. its my safety wire if someone slips. then just disconnect the the quick clip and it will slide right off. In fact our club recommends a tie down for GS planes for all starts/runups.
